Lamborghini to install luxury car plant in Brazil’s Santa Catarina state – newspapers

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Lamborghini Latinoamérica, a Mexican company that holds the license to use the European brand in Latin America, has decided to invest in Brazil´s Santa Catarina state, say NSCtotal and Metropole newspapers.

The CEO of Lamborghini Latinoamérica, Jorge Antonio Fernández Garcia, is said to be in Santa Catarina for a series of meetings.

The most prominent investment, but still under study, is a 100% electric luxury vehicle assembly plant. The list of projects includes high-standard residential condominiums in Governador Celso Ramos, a technological development center in the Florianópolis-based Sapiens Parque business center, and partnerships for the brand’s licensees in various sectors, from jeans to elevators.

For five business modals in Brazil, mainly in Santa Catarina, the company is making a transfer of shares of Lamborghini Uruguay worth US$57 million (R$316 million).
