The total number of inpatients is one seventh of that at the peak of the second wave of Covid-19, when there were 31,000 patients hospitalized with the disease.

Demand for ICUs is now one sixth, and one eighth for ward beds, of what it was during the peak. According to the state government, overall ICU bed occupancy rates are among the lowest of the whole pandemic, with 30.8% in the state and 38.2% in Greater São Paulo.
