In Brazil gasoline prices are up almost 40% in 12 months

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Gasoline prices rose 2.32% in September, according to the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA), the government's official inflation indicator released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

According to the institute, gasoline accumulates 39.60% inflation in 12 months through September.

Gasoline was not the only oil derivative to become more expensive in September. The IBGE advised that the price of bottled gas also continued to rise in September, up 3.91% for the month.
