RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The unemployment rate in Brazil was 12.1% in the quarter ended in October, according to data from the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (Continuous Pnad) released on Tuesday, October 28, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
The result was within the expectations of analysts heard by Projeções Broadcast, who estimated an unemployment rate between 12.0% and 13.4%, with a median of 12.3%.
