Brazil elections 2022: Bolsonaro now has 62% of evangelical votes, up from just 44% 15 days ago

Conservative president Jair Bolsonaro has 62% voting intentions among evangelicals in the first round, which shows a PoderData poll conducted July 31-August 2, 2022. This figure is a significant advance from 15 days earlier when 44% of this religious segment's supporters declared their intention to re-elect the president.

In contrast, former President leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva scored 22% among evangelicals. In the last round, held July 17-19, 2022, the PT candidate had 35%.
