Brazil: Ministry of Justice expands the use of the National Force in 4 states

The Brazilian Ministry of Justice has expanded the use of the National Public Security Force (FNSP) in support of four states.

The six orders, signed by Minister Flávio Dino, were published on Wednesday (8) in the Official Gazette.

The agents will work in Rio Grande do Sul, Acre, Rondônia, and Roraima.

In the country’s south, the National Force will support the Federal Police (PF) in the Votouro Indigenous Land for 30 days and in the Cacique Doble and the Passo Grande Indigenous Lands of the Forquilha River for 90 days.

The use of the National Force to support the National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples in the Guarita Indigenous Land in Rio Grande do Sul was also extended.

In Acre, the minister extended the use of the National Force to support the state for 90 days, between March 12 and June 9, for ostensive policing actions, Judicial Police, and forensics.

The agents will be part of the development of services essential to the preservation of public order and the safety of people and property.

The host city of the FNSP operation will be Rio Branco, the state capital.

In Rondônia, the federal agents will support the National Indian Foundation in the Kaxarari Indigenous Land.

The objective is to help in activities and services to preserve public order and the safety of people and property for 90 days.

In Roraima, the use of the National Force to support the security agencies in the cities of Boa Vista and Pacaraima was extended for 90 days from March 9 to June 6.
