Ausländer Musik Festival 2013 in Petrópolis: Daily

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – With a focus on new bands and both national and international DJs, the Ausländer Musik Festival 2013 will take over Castelo de Itaipava today December 7th, in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. Brought to Rio with help of six hundred tickets pre-sold through the crowdfunding platform Queremos, the event will be spread across Castle Itaipava‘s ​​more than seven thousand square meters.

The four main stages/sections; Pool Party, Inferninho (Little Hell), the Main Stage, and an outside area, will host over a dozen performers.

José Camarano will kick things off in the Pool Party area beginning at 11AM followed by Cix & Yasmin and then Viceroy at 2PM.

Swedish pop artist Beatrice Eli will open the main stage at 4PM and Danish singer-songwriter Mø, will follow at 5PM. At 6:30 PM American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mayer Hawthorne returns to Rio, fresh off his release of a third album Where Does This Door Go earlier this year.

Closing down the main stage, beginning at 8:30 PM, will be the master mashup mixer Gregg Michael Gillis, better known as his stage name, Girl Talk. With five alubms released, the American musician blends, overlays and mashes together well-known samples from hit songs from everything from hip-hop to pop to rap to new wave to indie rock, creating musical hybrids that are both nostalgic and fresh.

Leondre, Wladmir Gasper, Bernado Campos, The Twelves and Nepal will play in the Inferninho section from 4:30PM to 1AM. While Zeh Pretim and João Brasil will perform in the outdoor space from 7:30-8:30 PM and 9:30-11:30 PM respectively.

Pre-sale tickets for the festival sold-out as did the first round of sales but tickets during the day of the show are available for R$270.

For transportation buses are also available for R$30. They will depart from Parque dos Patins in Lagoa from 10:30 AM to 4PM and begin leaving Castelo de Itaipava at 10PM with a final departure at 2AM.
