The Salão is 150 seats, curated by Rubens Amatto, and the shows that land here represent the heart of what Casa de Francisca does: intimate, seated performances from artists who are either established names in the Brazilian music world or emerging voices whose work demands close listening. The room runs Wednesday through Saturday; tonight is the first night. Wednesday at the Borogodó runs 9 pm to 2 am — the first night of the midweek stretch that builds through Thursday and Friday to Saturday’s peak. The crowd is still small on Wednesdays: the room on Rua Horácio Lane fills gently, the samba roda plays to listeners rather than dancers, and the atmosphere favours the kind of attentive listening that disappears on busier nights. The Wednesday Borogodó is for the purists — the people who want the music at conversation volume, who know the songs, who order the first beer at 9 and stay until the final set. On the eve of the D-Edge Festival, the Borogodó offers the acoustic counterweight: samba de raiz in a wooden room, twenty-five years of the same tradition, no LEDs, no lasers, just strings and skin and voice.

The Largo on Wednesday shifts from the all-day Tuesday format to its evening mode: open from 6:30 pm with free DJs on the outdoor terrace until midnight. The Largo functions as the gathering point for the Salão and Porão crowds — people arrive early, drink at the bar, listen to the DJ, and then move inside when the shows start at 9:30 pm. On a cooler Wednesday evening (26 °C), the terrace is pleasant without the heat of the weekend. The Largo is free — no ticket, no cover — and serves as the social bridge between the street and the Palacete Teresa’s interior stages.

Wednesday at Brahma sits at the midpoint of the weekly energy curve — busier than Monday or Tuesday, quieter than Friday or Saturday. The live samba plays. The art deco room glows. The chopp is cold. For visitors combining Casa de Francisca (Sé) with Bar Brahma (Centro), the pairing is natural: Largo at 6:30 for the free DJ session, walk to Brahma for dinner at 8, return to the Palacete Teresa by 9:30 for the Salão or Porão show. The Centro Wednesday is a two-venue evening built around a ten-minute walk.
