The Praça event returns with a new edition today at Circo Voador beginning at 4PM. Started in June earlier this year, the goal of the monthly event is to provide a cultural space for creating and performing projects including parties, debates, screenings, alternative publication releases, poetry, theater and more. Today the bands Biltre and Fanfarra Black Clube will perform live and DJ Lili Prohmann will spin. Garis em Ação, Coletivo Bravos, and Sarau do Escritório will make presentations, and DJ, VJ, and architect Montano in collaboration with Eugênio Thomann will present the installation “Encaixotados.” The installation is a loop of photographs linked with corresponding sounds.

Barzar Noir (Lapa)
Teatro Odisséia and Chopperia Brazooka will host the Barzar Noir, Pin-Up edition, from 3PM to 10PM. It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club. DJ Lennox will start the party around 5PM by spinning on the deck and DJs Babi, Diego Valente, and Tatah Toscano will follow, spinning inside throughout the night until 5AM Monday morning.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 6PM the venue plays live games on their screens with a live performance following the matches. Tonight the group Samba Di Buteco will play classic samba including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.

It’s time to dance as singer-songwriter Rogê returns for his weekly show at Lapa’s Carioca de Gema. The lively performer will present his own compositions as well as covers of works by Jorge, Djavan, and Jorge Benjor, among others.
