Four Dead and Seven Injured in a Shooting at Bar in Rio de Janeiro

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – At least four people died, and seven were injured after a shooting at a bar on Sunday night (May 26), in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro.
Men in an unidentified car approached and repeatedly fired at the patrons. The information comes from Brazilian news outlet Extra.
José Luis Caetano, a Spanish teacher, and Janete Santos, a shopkeeper, were killed
at the scene.
Two other victims, one of them identified as Valdir e Fábio Rosa de Souza, were taken to the hospital but did not survive their injuries.
According to the newspaper, three of the seven survivors have been discharged from the hospital.
The others remain in hospital care. Friends of the victims said they attended the venue every two weeks when there were parties.
The Homicide Unit of Niterói, São Gonçalo and ItaboraÍ (HUNSGI) is investigating
the case.
