Brazil vs. Qatar: Previously Purchased Tickets Must be Exchanged at Fanpass

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Ticket sales for the friendly match between Brazil and Qatar, scheduled for June 5th at the Mané Garrincha National Stadium, were resumed on the Fanpass website on Tuesday May 28th.

Those who bought tickets from the website www.meubilhete.com should contact the new company to replace the e-ticket.

According to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), fans may ask for assistance from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, either by phone (0800-878-3266), e-mail ([email protected]) or WhatsApp (21-96575-1021).

The institution exchanged www.meubilhete.com after the company was targeted by Operation Episkiros, by the Federal District Civil Police.

“This is a preventive measure to protect both entity and supporter, given investigations opened by the authorities on the involvement of another company, in the same economic group, in alleged irregularities in the sale of tickets for other football matches held in the same stadium,” said the CBF in a statement.

Football club CSA, the home side for the match against Flamengo scheduled for June 12th, is also assessing changes in ticket sales.

The operation triggered by the PCDF targets an alleged tax fraud and evasion scheme in football matches brought to Brazil’s capital. One of the targets is Leandro Brito, responsible for Meubilhete.com.

Disclosed by Metrópoles, this action was coordinated by the Division of Tax Crimes (Dicot) and occurred during the match between Palmeiras and Botafogo last Saturday, May 25th.

The operation investigates former Brazilian national team and Fluminense player Roniéliton Pereira Santos, 42, commonly known as Roni.

According to the PCDF, ticket offices were rigged. Organizers allegedly reported a smaller attendance. As a result, they would pay the government less for sporting events. The former striker denies this.

According to Vice-Governor Paco Britto (Avante), the Federal District administration will review all procedures for holding events in the stadium and other public facilities. In the case of matches, operators will need to undergo rigorous evaluation. Simultaneously, all ticket sales will be audited until the closing of the ticket office.

The leader also pledges to impose stricter demands on the Sports Department and the Treasury Department.

“We will take all the necessary steps to ensure that there are no more frauds of this kind at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, at these and any other events that may take place,” said Britto.
