Peru aims to improve the battle management system of its submarines

The Peruvian Navy (MGP) has set itself the task of improving the capabilities of the battle management system of its 209/1200 submarines.

Therefore, it has launched the so-called Quipu project, which aims to develop new tracking motion analysis (TMA) algorithms used to determine the range, heading, and contact speed parameters.

The term Quipu refers to a system for storing information using a series of knots, wool, or cotton threads in different colors, which was used by the Incas and other cultures in ancient Peru.
