Startup Summit 2023 kicks off in Brazil’s Florianópolis with global thought leaders

Florianópolis, often referred to as “Magic Island,” is the capital of the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

Over the past few decades, the city has transformed from a laid-back island destination into a burgeoning tech hub in Brazil.

The 2023 Startup Summit is set to launch from August 23 to 25 in Florianópolis, hosting over 200 speakers across 21 content tracks.

Collaboratively organized by Sebrae, ACATE, and ACIF, the event offers 850 handpicked startups a complimentary entry, promoting business connections and knowledge exchange.

In its sixth year, the Summit is celebrated as a pivotal gathering within the startup community, drawing entrepreneurs, investors, and other innovation leaders.

Esteemed entrepreneur and lean startup pioneer, Eric Ries, is set to headline the event.

Known for founding several startups, like IMVU, and authoring the NY Times best-seller “The Lean Startup,” Ries emphasizes efficient business and product development.

Beyond his startups, Ries has counseled diverse enterprises, collaborated with GE, and founded the Long-Term Stock Exchange (LTSE), where he remains CEO.

Additionally, the event will feature international speakers like Deborah Perry Piscione, an innovation strategist and author of “Secrets of Silicon Valley,” and Tim Ash, founder of SiteTuners and author of several publications.

Notable figures, including André Street, CEO of Stone; Daniel Moczydlower, CEO of Embraer-X; Juliano Tubino, CEO of RD Station; and Rachel Maia, CEO of RM Consulting, will also take the stage.
