Brazil shines with 357 thousand new business startups in March, monthly record since 2010

Limited liability companies were the highlight, increasing by 44.5% from 45,145 in 2021 to 65,220 in 2022.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In Brazil, 357,294 new companies were opened in March. The figure is a record for the month since Serasa Experian began its historical 'Enterprise Birth Indicator' series in 2010. Poder360 obtained the results exclusively from first-hand sources, the newspaper writes in its report.

Of the total number of businesses opened, 271,575 were MEIs (individual microentrepreneurs), a decrease of 3.8% compared to the same month last year.
