Brazil: Embraer plans to sell almost 2,000 jets in 10 years

Embraer intends to manufacture and sell almost 2,000 aircraft over the next ten years, considering the E1 and E2 family jets.

This is the forecast of Arjan Meijer, president of commercial aviation of the Brazilian company.

Meijer said that Embraer estimates there is room to replace competing aircraft.

The global leader in the manufacturing of airplanes with up to 150 seats, the Brazilian company holds 29% of this market, according to Valor Econômico newspaper.

Recently, the company closed a deal with the Royal Jordan for the delivery of eight jets of the E2 family.

The contract is worth US$635 million.

In addition, the executive estimates that Embraer may sell 1,000 units in the military market in 20 years.

Almost 500 KC-390 freighters (US$60 billion) and another 500 units of the Super Tucano (US$6.5 billion).

The company has closed delivery contracts with Brazil, Portugal, and Turkey’s air forces.

EMBRAER AND AIRCRAFT SALES

Last year the Brazilian company sold about 159 aircraft – (57 commercial and 102 executives).

Net revenue closed at US$23.4 billion.

For the first quarter of 2023, the figure was US$3.7 billion.
