71% of Brazilian companies will not meet sales targets in 2022 – survey
Brazilian companies faced difficulties meeting sales targets in 2022, as pointed out by the survey “Panorama de Vendas” conducted by RD Station, which heard more than 1,700 companies from various segments in all regions of the country.
71% did not achieve the expected results, representing a worsening of 11 percentage points concerning 2021.
The result was worse among companies selling products and services directly to the final consumer, with 73% not meeting the targets.

Among companies negotiating with other businesses, 60% did not achieve the expected results.
In an interview with Jovem Pan News, Caio Vidal, one of the people responsible for the survey, stated that internal factors, such as the elections, and external ones, such as the war in Ukraine, contributed to the low performance, besides other reasons.
“The main reason, according to the companies that answered, is the lack of funds.”
“We think it is necessary for sales teams to be driven by data and have control of the process.”
Even in the uncertain scenario for 2023, the survey shows that 69% of the companies are optimistic and expect an increase of up to 50% in sales this year.
“However, the analysis shows there is still a long way to go to have results in practice.”
“Only 34% of these companies said they have a predictable, scalable, and sustainable process.”
“And 29% have no defined frequency of results follow-up”, warned Caio Vidal.
