As a clear threat to the West, Roskosmos publishes coordinates of Western government headquarters

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The G7 summit in Germany just ended and the NATO summit in Spain is beginning. Both meetings of Western leaders debated new sanctions and punitive measures against Russia and further support for Ukraine.

For the Russian space agency Roskosmos, this is a reason to issue a slightly less subtle threat to Western leaders. On its Telegram channel, the agency wrote:

Today, the NATO summit opens in Madrid, where Western countries will declare Russia their worst enemy.

While representatives of the 30 countries of the Alliance, as well as partners and candidates, are discussing the strategic concept until 2030, Roskosmos publishes satellite photos of the venue of the summit and the very “decision-making centers” that support Ukrainian nationalists.

In addition to the six different coordinates and satellite images showing the White House, the Pentagon, the seats of government of Great Britain, France, and Germany, and the NATO headquarters in Brussels, there was also a satellite image from Madrid.

The Ukrainian newspaper “Ukrainska Pravda” even headlined, “Direct threat: RosKosmos has published satellite images from the site of the NATO summit.”

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit will be held in Madrid from June 28 to 30. Earlier, Spanish newspaper El País reported that during the summit the countries will make a decision on the largest troop deployment since the Cold War.

According to the newspaper’s sources, some of the Allies want to at least double NATO’s presence in Eastern European countries. Moreover, according to the same sources, the countries closest to Russia want to strengthen their defense posture – with at least 15,000 troops under the command of a general.

Observers complain that this is, so to speak, a nod to the West, according to which Moscow is capable of hitting virtually any target in the world thanks to modern hypersonic missiles – and without the West’s air defense systems (e.g. Patriot or THAAD) being able to intercept these missiles, which can also be nuclear-tipped.

This is actually a barely concealed warning to Western leaders not to overdo it with sanctions and threatening measures against Moscow.
