Argentine general elections will be held on October 22

Argentina’s National Electoral Chamber has approved the electoral calendar for the coming months, on August 13 will be the first encounter with the polls in the Simultaneous and Mandatory Open Primary Elections (PASO), and on October 22, the general elections will take place.

If a run-off election is necessary because none of the candidates wins, it will be held on November 19, according to Agreement No. 33/23.

Likewise, the presidential debates, mandatory according to the Argentine electoral law, will be held on October 1 and 8.

If a second round is necessary, another debate will be held on November 12.

The electoral campaign for the PASO will start on June 24, and the deadline for submitting the definitive lists of pre-candidates for each party for the voting on August 13.

On August 23, the National Electoral Boards will be constituted.

September 2 will be the last day to present the definitive lists for the presidential elections when the electoral campaign starts.
