Bolsonaro: “We Want to Complete Unfinished Works, Before New Ones”
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Yesterday, President Jair Bolsonaro published the message that his government will prioritize the completion of unfinished works from past governments before starting new projects.
“Our government wants to complete works that were not finished 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago”, he said on Twitter.
The post also shared the video of a statement by the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio de Freitas, accepting that the government is, indeed, inaugurating works of past governments.
“We always question or criticize the lack of continuity of governments,” he said. “We have finished the works of other governments,” said the Minister under some applause in the video of an Environment and Sustainable Development Committee of the Chamber of Deputies which he attended.
“We cannot reinvent Brazil every four years. Infrastructure is a matter of State, it’s a long-term issue,” Freitas said in the video.
