Festival Malungo (online) – From July 5th to July 12th, the Festival Malungo will promote the best of Brazil’s Black music culture with several independent artists based in São Paulo.

Tonight’s attraction will be the group Paranapanema, which will present Afro-Brazilian rhythms from the countryside, such as Samba de Bumbo, Batuque de Umbigada, Jongo, and others. The show will happen at 9 PM.

Alessandra Leão (online) – This Friday, Sesc Ao Vivo will present the singer, composer and percussionist Alessandra Leão.

Performing at 7 PM, the artist will go live with the show “Macumbas e Catimbós”, inspired by the musical aesthetics from Afro-Brazilian religions such as candomblé, umbanda, and jurema.

Som na Faixa Festival (online) – The Som na Faixa Festival is on, presenting a range of Brazil’s instrumental music artists until July 18th.

This Friday, the festival will present the singer, composer, and guitarist Fabiola Beni. She will present folk music from Brazil’s countryside at 7 PM.
