Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Run VDG is back for another edition at the top of the Vidigal favela. Tonight’s action will feature three first-class DJs playing on both digital and vinyl formats, with resident Jody King and Mahara Belgrano welcoming guest DJ Chris Rocha.
If you have not been to a party at Alto Vidigal, then you are definitely missing out. From the terrace situated at the very top of the hill, you can see all of Rio and dance until dawn to a soundtrack of underground electronica. DJ Chris Rocha is a vinyl-wielding musical selector who has been throwing down in Rio for some time now. Originally a resident at Fosfobox, Rocha’s tough techno and tech house style sets her apart from most DJs in Rio. Staying true to the sound of vinyl, she is joined by Brit Jody King and Run VDG resident Mahara Belgrano.

Brazilian singer and guitarist Lulu Santos arrives tonight at Fundição Progresso in Lapa. The famed singer is known for various hits including the John Lennon tribute “Tesouros da Juventude”, co written with Nelson Motta.
