Welcome to your São Paulo daily guide for Monday, March 30, 2026. The MASP is closed today (its weekly day off), so the Pinacoteca leads the cultural calendar. Pascale Marthine Tayou’s Knockout! fills all seven Pina Luz galleries, Macunaíma é Duwid holds Pina Estação, and Cristina Salgado’s monumental installation occupies the Octógono — all open. At the CCSP, the Sheyla Ayo visual arts show continues through April 19. The weather holds at 28°C with just 10% rain — the last dry day before a sharp turn: Tuesday drops to 23°C with 65% rain, and the wet spell extends through Thursday. Markets reopen today; Friday’s close: Ibovespa 181,557 (−0.64%), dollar R$5.24, weekly gain +3.03%. The government’s diesel subsidy MP is expected today or tomorrow.

This is part of The Rio Times’ daily São Paulo daily guide coverage for expats and the international community.
