RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Sunday, December 31st, 2.4 million people gathered on Copacabana's beach to welcome 2018. According to Riotur, this is the largest audience ever registered in Copacabana’s New Year’s Eve celebration, considered one of the best in the world.
Cariocas and tourists of all ages had the opportunity to enjoy a seventeen minute pyrotechnic spectacle (five minutes longer than 2017’s) and an eclectic line-up with ten musical attractions, which included Brazilian funk accompanied by “Orquestra da Maré”, orchestra composed of young musicians from Subscribe to our Premium Membership Plan.
