Governor Doria in favor of canceling New Year’s Eve parties in São Paulo

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - São Paulo Governor João Doria on Wednesday, December 1, recommended that mayors in his state suspend the traditional New Year's Eve parties.

With the emergence of the Omicron variant and the fourth wave of Covid-19 in Europe, at least 14 state capitals in Brazil have already called off public events for the year-end.

"We are taking a cautious and zealous approach to protect lives. It is not the time to have New Year's Eve parties," Doria said while on an official trip to New York to meet with investors organized . . .
