RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The election day of traditional Brazilian soccer club Flamengo was changed by the news that came from the country's authorities. While the club president was being re-elected, a first-team player fatally ran over a bicycle messenger.
Ramon Ramos, the young outside defender, barely 20 years old, ran over the 30-year-old victim with his car. The force of the impact was so great that the cyclist died while being transported to the hospital, without the medical services being able to do anything.
