Covid-19 Omicron: Peru demands health passport at workplaces

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In response to diffuse fears about the emergence of the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus, which is said to be more dangerous than the Delta strain, Peru is taking restrictive measures to reduce the risk of infection and prevent the introduction of the variant.

It does not seem to matter that the first Omicron cases in Latin America occurred in fully vaccinated individuals, which could not more clearly demonstrate that duly vaccinated individuals may be just as likely to pass on Covid as unvaccinated individuals and that a vaccination passport does not change this at . . .
