The six who made it

The Azteca headline

The standout is Mexico against Ecuador on Tuesday, an all-Latin-American tie and the first knockout match ever played at the Estadio Azteca. For the host city it is the night of the tournament so far.

Kickoff is in the evening local time, and demand around the stadium and the centre will be heavy. Plan transport early and expect the Zócalo to fill.

Where to watch across the hubs

Mexico City runs a free FIFA Fan Festival at the Zócalo, with a giant screen and free entry by registration, plus public screens across the Centro Histórico. It is the easiest big-crowd option in the capital.

Buenos Aires keeps its free Fan Fest at Plaza Seeber in Palermo, and Rio and São Paulo run fan zones for the Brazil matches. Wherever you are, a public screening is rarely far.
