Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Forró music has held its own in Lapa for the past seven years, as Quarta Democratica holds the title of “the best forró city.”
Providing the best in northeastern music, this special night offers an always diversified program that values Brazilian culture.
The night has an almost cult following that packs the house every Wednesday evening. Their goal is to continue bringing the public the best shows and providing a great environment to dance and socialize with like-minded people. Situated in Lapa, the venue offers a large dancefloor, the main stage for the band and of course a fully stocked bar.

La Paz Club – Inauguração (Botafogo)
Centro should be proud to be home to the newest underground sensation in Rio, as La Paz Club opens their door this week. From the owners of Fosfobox, this new multilevel venue will play host to a variety of DJs and live bands. This week, there are three days of parties to christen the club properly.

00 – Zero Zero (Gávea)
The Zona Sul (South Zone) of Rio de Janeiro will host Jazz Manifest for a weekly dose of delectable jazz bits at 00 in Gávea. This week, Nicolsky Quarteto will perform with DJs JR Mahr and Rafa Canholato playing during the intervals.

Latin Party- Edicao Especial de Ferias (Copacabana)
Wednesday nights just got a bit hotter with the newest addition to the hump day madness. Latin Party arrives on the scene with Latin rhythms and people from all corners of the world. Lots of gorgeous people with great DJs and an excellent venue.

Barzinho Bar is a great combination of casual and chic, located in Lapa. With a funky decor and DJs playing Brazilian favorites, the new space has become a new staple in Rio nightlife. Tonight local singer Ana Baird takes the stage.
