Molina entered the Argentinian mainstream in 1988 as an actress and comedian but in the mid 90s followed her heart to pursue a career in music.
Since 1996 she has released six studio albums and won critical acclaim around the world. Blending acoustic and electronic instruments, she has been compared to artists including Bjork and Lisa Germano but Molina truly creates music like no other.
Tonight Molina will again be joined by Brazilian instrumentalist and composer, Jaques Morelenbaum.

Tonight Circo Voador hosts the famed Brazilian rock band Paralamas do Sucesso during their second night of two shows at the venue in Lapa. The group formed in the late 1970s in Rio, burst into the Brazilian mainstream in the 80s, and have conitinued to be successful to this day.

The fourth edition of the Sonoridades festival continues at Oi Futuro Ipanema tonight with the second of two live performances by Argentinian singer-songwriter and electronic musician Juana Molina. Molina will be joined again tonight by Brazilian instrumentalist and composer, Jaques Morelenbaum.

Tonight the group Camarão de Rama returns to start things off at Rio Scenarium at 8PM with their music that blends the sounds of samba, maracatu, choro, bossa nova and salsa.Following at 9PM the group Empolga às 9 will present sounds that range from samba to frevo to maracatu. Finally beginning at 2:30 AM, Cassiano & Trio Beija Flor return to play the best of forró until sunrise as part of the Forró na Madrugada section of the night.

Leviano Rock Night (Lapa)
Tonight the Leviano Rock Night returns to Leviano bar in Lapa. On the first floor, the band Licor do Canavial well start things off at 8PM. Then, singer Christiano Dortas will perform pop and national and international rock beginning at 12:30AM. On the second floor singer Danilo de Moura will perform.
