Tonight’s Vibe Menu
This is the night. The D-Edge Festival 2026 takes over Komplexo Tempo tonight with more than 50 artists across five stages — the most ambitious electronic music event of the year in São Paulo nightlife and a landmark for the Brazilian club scene. The festival is conceived as a map of contemporary electronic music: from the deep house heritage of Defected Records to the techno intensity of the NAVE stage, from drum’n’bass on the DJ Marky & Friends floor to the melodic house of Moving and the community spirit of the D-Edgers stage. The headline act on the Defected stage is Carl Craig B2B Moodymann — two Detroit legends, together, in São Paulo. KiNK brings his live hardware performance. Beltran and Ratier complete the house floor. On the NAVE stage: Len Faki, Nastia, Daria Kolosova, and the Brazilian heavyweight encounter of Anderson Noise B2B DJ Murphy. On the Moving stage: Gui Boratto and Yamagucci. On the DJ Marky & Friends stage: DJ Marky, DJ Hazard, Makoto, DJ Andy, L-Side. On the D-Edgers stage: residents and community DJs celebrating the club’s two-decade history. From 10 pm. From R$160 via Ingresse. Elsewhere tonight: Casa de Francisca runs all three stages — Salão, Porão, Largo. Ó do Borogodó runs 10 pm–3 am. Bar Brahma holds. For the acoustic city: options exist. But tonight, the electronic city commands. This is part of The Rio Times’ daily São Paulo nightlife coverage for expats and visitors. Partly cloudy — 26 °C, 31 % rain chance. Warm, possible showers — Komplexo Tempo is covered.

1D-Edge Festival 2026 — Komplexo Tempo

Festival · Electronic · 50+ Artists

The D-Edge Festival is the annual moment when Renato Ratier’s club — the institution that has defined São Paulo’s electronic music identity since 2003 — explodes beyond its Barra Funda walls and takes over a space large enough to contain its ambition. Komplexo Tempo on Av. Henry Ford hosts five stages, each with its own sonic identity, each curated to represent a different thread of the global electronic conversation. The Defected stage carries the house heritage: Carl Craig B2B Moodymann is the headline — two Detroit legends, each with decades of innovation behind them, playing back-to-back in São Paulo for the first time. KiNK brings his live hardware performance — the Bulgarian producer whose improvised sets with synthesizers and drum machines have made him one of the most in-demand live acts on the global circuit. Beltran and Ratier himself complete the floor. The NAVE stage carries the techno: Len Faki — Berghain resident, Berlin institution — headlines alongside Nastia from Kyiv, Daria Kolosova, and the Brazilian heavyweight B2B of Anderson Noise and DJ Murphy. The Moving stage carries the melodic house: Gui Boratto — one of Brazil’s most internationally recognized electronic producers — and Yamagucci. The DJ Marky & Friends stage celebrates drum’n’bass: DJ Marky, DJ Hazard, Makoto, DJ Andy, L-Side. The D-Edgers stage is the community floor — residents and regulars who built the D-Edge scene over twenty years. From 10 pm. From R$160 via Ingresse. The venue is covered — rain is irrelevant. This is the night the entire São Paulo electronic community has been building toward since the lineup dropped.

2Casa de Francisca — Thursday Three Stages

Curated · Three Stages · Acoustic

On a night when the electronic city is at Komplexo Tempo, the acoustic city centres on the Palacete Teresa. Casa de Francisca runs all three stages on Thursday: the Salão (seated, curated, 9:30 pm), the Porão (standing, underground, 9:30 pm), and the Largo (free, outdoor DJs from 6:30 pm). Check casadefrancisca.art.br/novo/programacao for tonight’s specific acts. Thursday is the Piano Bar night at Blue Note Rio — but at the Casa, Thursday is when the Palacete Teresa is at full operational capacity. The Salão’s centrepiece act, the Porão’s underground energy, and the Largo’s free gathering point all running simultaneously. For visitors who are not going to the D-Edge Festival, this is the alternative: intimate, curated, acoustic, and in the historic centre of the city.

3Ó do Borogodó — Thursday Samba

Samba · Peak Thursday · Late

Thursday at the Borogodó runs 10 pm to 3 am — the same hours as Friday and Saturday, the first night of the week when the samba house in Pinheiros operates at its full late-night format. The crowd on Thursday is larger than Wednesday: the pre-weekend energy that builds across the city also reaches Rua Horácio Lane, and the roda plays to a room that is filling toward its Saturday density. On D-Edge Festival night, the Borogodó offers the acoustic counterpoint — samba de raiz for people who do not want LEDs, techno, or five stages, who want strings and skin and voice in a wooden room. The two São Paulos coexist tonight: Komplexo Tempo and Rua Horácio Lane, fifteen kilometres apart, running simultaneously, serving entirely different needs.

4Blue Note SP — Thursday April Programme

Jazz · MPB · Two Sessions

The Blue Note SP runs its Thursday double session (8 pm and 10:30 pm) as the April programme continues. Check bluenotesp.com for tonight’s specific act. On festival night, the Blue Note operates as a third option — neither the electronic intensity of Komplexo Tempo nor the samba intimacy of the Borogodó, but the jazz-MPB middle ground that the Conjunto Nacional’s second floor was built for. The Varanda Blue terrace on Av. Paulista runs before and between sessions. Tomorrow: Avery*Sunshine — the Grammy-winning soul pianist — plays Blue Note SP at 8 pm and 10:30 pm.

5Bar Brahma Centro — Thursday Samba

Samba · MPB · Daily

Bar Brahma on D-Edge Festival night is the calm eye of the storm. While Komplexo Tempo throbs with 50+ electronic artists and Pinheiros fills with the samba crowd, the corner at São João and Ipiranga holds its daily position: live samba, art deco room, chopp, kitchen. Thursday at Brahma is livelier than midweek — the pre-weekend energy reaches Centro — but on a night when the city’s attention is split between five electronic stages and the acoustic circuit, Brahma carries on as it has since 1948. No festival, no ticket, no agenda. Just the samba.

Getting Around
Transport intel
Metro: This São Paulo nightlife guide notes that Thursday runs on normal weekday metro hours. Metro runs until midnight — the D-Edge Festival runs far beyond that. Plan ride-hailing for departure. Sé (Line 1-Blue / Line 3-Red) for Casa de Francisca. Consolação (Line 2-Green) for Blue Note SP. Faria Lima (Line 4-Yellow) for Borogodó. República for Bar Brahma.
Komplexo Tempo access: Av. Henry Ford, 511. Ride-hailing is the recommended transport — the venue is in the Mooca/Ipiranga area, not directly on a metro line. Book rides in advance for post-festival departure.
Weather: Partly cloudy Thursday — 26 °C, 31 % rain chance. Possible showers but the D-Edge Festival venue is covered. Comfortable clothing and shoes for the all-night festival. Outdoor venues (Largo, Borogodó) may see rain — bring an umbrella if heading to the acoustic circuit.
Safety: São Paulo on festival night: Komplexo Tempo has its own security. Ride-hailing for arrival and departure — surrounding streets are quiet. Pinheiros is well-populated. Sé around Casa de Francisca: stay on Quintino Bocaiúva and well-lit streets. Valuables discreet at the festival — large crowds.
