06Practical InfoESSENTIALS

Ormuz deadline passed: Trump’s deadline expired last night (9PM BRT). Pakistan’s PM asked for a two-week extension and proposed that Iran reopen Ormuz as a “good faith” gesture. The Ibovespa recovered from −1.2% to close +0.05% on this news. No immediate escalation materialised overnight. Markets remain on edge.

Inflation escalation: Bradesco Asset raised its 2026 IPCA forecast to 4.7% (above the 4.5% ceiling) and Selic YE to 12.75%. AZ Quest warns IPCA could reach 5% if the conflict extends. Oil-driven inflation via fuel, transport, and food is the central risk for the rest of 2026.
