Tambores de Olokun (Aterro do Flamengo) – One of the most popular Carnival blocs among Carioca youngsters, Tambores do Olokun starts to warm up for Carnival 2018, and the next rehearsal happens this Sunday, at Aterro do Flamengo.
Starting at 4PM, the bloco brings a repertoire dedicated to Afro Brazilian rhythms, specially Maracatu, from Pernambuco (Brazil’s Northeast).

Baile do Digitaldubs (Centro) – Tonight, group Digital Dubs performs at the HUB RJ, in Centro, at 7PM.
Honoring rapper Black Alien, the group will present a combination of dub, reggae, roots and dancehall. DJ Marcus MPC will be spinning in the intervals.

Samba que Elas Querem (Lapa) – The women-only group “Samba que Elas Querem” brings its great “roda de samba” to Ganjah Lapa tonight, at 8PM.
The talented musicians will play an excellent repertoire of classic sambas, paying a special tribute to female composers, like Clara Nunes, Jovelina Perola Negra and Tia Surica.

NFL Playoffs @ Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Just around the corner from Posto 9, Blue Agave Ipanema is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and the international crowd which frequents the establishment. Today the NFL American football league is in the middle of playoff action with Jacksonville and Pittsburg facing off at 4PM (Rio time) and then the Vikings and Saints kicking off at 8:40 PM local Rio time.
