The iconic mansion, once dubbed Brazil’s most expensive home, has been sold for R$220 million ($40 million).
Located in Rio de Janeiro’s elite Jardim Pernambuco area, this sale marks the beginning of an ambitious redevelopment project by Mozak Construction Company.
The company plans to create 10 ultra-luxurious homes on the site. Constructed in 1986, the 2,700-square-meter mansion offers eight suites and ten bathrooms.
Additional amenities include a cinema, kennel, parking for 16 cars and a helipad certified by the National Civil Aviation Agency.
Additionally, it boasts spectacular views of the sea, Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, and Christ the Redeemer.

Although they listed the property for R$220 million ($38.94 million), they have not disclosed the final transaction amount.
The real estate agency Sergio Castro Ouro facilitated this high-profile sale, focusing on Mozak’s vision to transform the site into a premium residential enclave.
The redevelopment is projected to generate up to R$500 million ($90 million) in future sales. It will maintain the mansion as a central piece of this luxurious puzzle.
The estate’s prime location and comprehensive amenities, including a semi-Olympic pool, library, sauna, and elevator, highlight a shift.
In addition, this shift reflects changes in Brazil’s luxury real estate market dynamics.
This sale not only symbolizes a significant change in luxury real estate but also cements Rio de Janeiro’s position as a hotspot for sophisticated residential projects.
Mozak’s initiative reflects the evolving preferences of Brazil’s affluent, setting a new standard for opulence and exclusivity.
