More and more Germans believe that Russia was forced to launch a special military operation in Ukraine

The Cemas Monitoring, Analysis, and Strategy Center has published the results of an opinion poll in Germany.

About 40% of respondents believe that NATO forced Russia to launch a special military operation in Ukraine.

The studies were conducted in April and October of this year. Experts interviewed 2228 Germans.

In the spring, only 29 percent of the country’s residents believed that Russia was forced to launch a special operation by the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Now, this position is expressed by 40 percent of respondents.

There has also been a growing number of people who believe that Vladimir Putin is “fighting the global elite, which is pulling the strings in the background.”

44% of respondents agreed with this position (in April – 32 percent).
