Trans and Transvestite Murders In Brazil Down 24.5 Percent from 2018

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – According to data from the National Association of Transvestites and Transsexuals (ANTHRA) published on the organization’s website, the number of deaths of transgendered people dropped 24.5 percent in 2019, compared to 2018, and 31 percent compared to 2017.

According to the Gay Guide, questioned whether this method would not demoralize the whole process of building the map, one of the authors of the report, Sayonara Nogueira did not answer this question.

It is worth recalling that recently a trans woman was prevented from using the women’s restroom in a Mall in the state of Maceió. The victim of prejudice did let this pass and received support on social media.
