Easter egg craze: Brazil is the country that most searches for the term on Google

There are no chocolate fanatics like Brazilians.

This was the conclusion of a Google survey this Wednesday (22), revealing that Brazil is the country that searches most for Easter eggs in the tool worldwide.

The record was maintained in the last 30 days and since the beginning of Google’s historical series, whose studies began in 2004.

The interest in the traditional sweet at this time of the year is such that the Easter egg has almost double the popularity it experiences in the countries in the second, third, fourth, and fifth places of the list – Argentina, United Kingdom, Italy, and Ireland, respectively.

Searches for Easter eggs over the past 30 days have increased sevenfold in Brazil compared to the previous period.

In other words, there has been a 610% rise in Brazilian interest.

WHAT DO BRAZILIANS WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE EASTER EGG?

The questions Brazilians have been asking Google over the past month reveal that many are thinking about preparing a homemade recipe instead of buying ready-made ones in the face of current prices.

“How to make Easter egg?” grew 1,350% in searches in the last 30 days.

Another variant – “How to make homemade Easter egg?” – had a 1.100% increase.

“What is the best chocolate to make Easter egg?” had a 280% rise.

The search for culinary paraphernalia for preparation also grew: “What do you need to make Easter egg?” was up 180%.

One homemade recipe stood out: “Easter pudding egg how to make it?” saw a 135% increase.

IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT CHOCOLATE

Due to the interest in homemade eggs, searches for chocolate bars are also rising in Brazil.

The subject had already hit record interest, i.e., it was searched like never before at Easter 2022.

The Easter period, March and April, is usually the time of most outstanding searches for chocolate in the country on the platform.

But in 2023, this passion was renewed.

According to Google, Brazil is the third country in the world with the most interest in chocolate in the last 30 days, behind only Israel and France.

If the question for the ideal chocolate to make an Easter egg is the second most asked by Brazilians in the tool, one surpasses it: “What is noble chocolate?” had a 310% growth in searches in the last month.

Trying to understand the step-by-step and even expand their confectionery repertoire, Brazilian users also searched a lot for “How to melt chocolate on the stove” (+270%), “How to melt chocolate in a bain-marie” (+260%) and “How to make chocolate lollipops” (+235%).

IN PARTY RHYTHM

Brazil is the ninth country worldwide with the most interest in Easter in the last 30 days.

The country ranks first in South America.

Not surprisingly, searches for Easter have quadrupled in Brazil in the last 30 days compared to the previous period, equivalent to a 360% increase.

“When is Easter?” was one of the fastest-growing questions on Google in the last month, with a 250% increase.
