RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazilian Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) and psychologist Heloísa Wolf, from Rio Grande do Sul, got married on Saturday, 25th, at an event venue in Santa Teresa, downtown Rio de Janeiro, with a ceremony for about 150 guests.

Eduardo and Heloisa met at the end of 2016, in Santa Catarina. Almost two years later, they got engaged in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.

President Jair Bolsonaro, the father of the fiancé, and older brothers, councilman Carlos Bolsonaro (PSC-RJ) and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PSL-RJ) were present.

A strong security presence was established throughout the neighborhood. The road from Cosme Velho, in the southern region of the city, to the site of the ceremony, was patrolled by men from the Army Police.

Military Police (MP) officers manned numerous points along Almirante Alexandrino avenue. Besides, an MP armored vehicle was at the main access point to the Morro dos Prazeres neighborhood. The president arrived shortly before 5 PM and left at 8 PM.

Soon afterward, he commemorated his son Eduardo’s wedding on a social network with a photo of himself alongside First Lady, Michelle Bolsonaro: “Enjoying the wedding of my third son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, with my wife, Michelle Bolsonaro. We wish the couple absolute happiness and may God bless this union! A good weekend to all.”

Ceremony held with a Pastor and Intimate Decoration

Pastor Pedro Litwinczuk, 53, celebrated the religious ceremony of the “Comunidade Batista do Rio” church, in Barra da Tijuca. He is known to the faithful as a laid-back and easy-going Pastor.

Before the party, Márcia Santiago, a ceremonialist and assistant for the wedding of Eduardo and Heloísa, spoke about the security plans.

“The biggest challenge is to merge official protocols and meet official security requests. This security job is not directly that of my team, but it needs to be coordinated. Other than that, it will be a simple marriage, befitting of the bride and groom. They do not like an extravagance, so we’re working things out naturally and with the necessary refinements.”

Eduardo and Heloísa met at the end of 2016, in Santa Catarina. Almost two years later, they got engaged in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.

At the beginning of April, Eduardo and Heloísa had a pre-wedding rehearsal on Reserva beach in the western region of Rio de Janeiro.

The two were photographed by Davi Nascimento, who was also responsible for pictures shot at the party. “They wanted the photos to be just like those of other people, not wanting to be above others. I stayed at their home to do the photo shoot, and they made a point of learning the things I like. The tailored a diet just for me. It’s a level of caring that we don’t come across much. It’s not common,” praises David.

The bride’s dress was created by stylist Marie Lafayette, the same who designed the wedding dress of Michelle Bolsonaro, wife of the president, as well as the outfit used by the First Lady at Jair Bolsonaro’s inauguration.

Michelle Bolsonaro was one of the couple’s bridesmaids; there were eight couples in total. She spent the day alongside Heloísa and her fellow bridesmaids on the eve of the party.

During a moment of distraction, the First Lady learned how to take pictures with a professional camera to photograph the bride along with the photographer.
