Online sales since 2017 have tripled, and in 2023 it would exceed US$1.3 billion in turnover, announced the Paraguayan Chamber of Electronic Commerce (Capace) during the first day of eCommerce Day.
For Mauricio Larrosa, general manager of the consulting firm CCR, online consumption has undoubtedly undergone a great evolution.
“This study that we conducted with Capace allows us to appreciate the post-pandemic development.”
“Since e-commerce was one of the essential protagonists, it assumed a different role, as well as consumers, who had to change their habits.”
“Today, 3/4 of Paraguayans bet on online shopping,” he said.
He highlighted that 78% of the population had made an online purchase in the last 12 months, representing a 4% increase compared to 2022.
“In 2020, we registered 62%.”
“We are talking about 16 points above; it is a dizzying development,” he added.
