RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Still under the effects of the new coronavirus pandemic, Brazil ended the year 2021 with a trade surplus of US$61.008 billion, reported this Monday (3) the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy.
The amount was the result of exports of US$280.394 billion during last year, minus imports of US$ 219.386 billion. The value is a record for a single year.
According to the Secretariat, the country recorded a total trade flow of US$499.780 billion during the period.
