Embraer Secures $1.5 Billion Order, Strengthens Global Presence

Embraer has announced a significant order from Japan’s ANA Holdings for 20 E190-E2 jets, comprising 15 firm orders and 5 purchase options. Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2033.

Following the announcement, Embraer’s stock rose 4.39%, reaching R$62.52 by mid-morning trading in Brazil. JPMorgan estimates the deal’s total value at $1.5 billion, with $1.1 billion attributed to the firm orders.

This represents an 11% increase in Embraer’s commercial order backlog and a 4% rise in its total backlog compared to Q4 2024. Analysts view this as a testament to Embraer’s ability to secure new clients and maintain competitiveness in the aviation market.

The order follows another recent deal for E190-E2 jets from Virgin Australia, signaling growing demand for Embraer’s fuel-efficient regional aircraft.

Bradesco BBI noted that the firm portion of ANA’s order alone would add $1.141 billion to Embraer’s Q4 2024 order book, reinforcing the appeal of its next-generation jets across global markets.

Embraer remains competitively valued, trading at 8.5 times its projected 2025 EBITDA, compared to Airbus (11.7x), Boeing (40.8x), and Bombardier (7x).

Analysts from Bradesco BBI and Itaú BBA continue to rank Embraer as a top investment pick for 2025, citing strong fundamentals and increasing demand in key regions like Asia.

Itaú BBA emphasized that this deal enhances Embraer’s visibility in its order pipeline while supporting long-term growth prospects. Airlines’ focus on fleet modernization and operational efficiency positions Embraer well to capture additional market share in regional aviation.

While deliveries will span five years starting in 2028, analysts see this agreement as a positive signal for Embraer’s commercial aviation business, reinforcing its global presence and ability to meet evolving market demands for efficient aircraft solutions.
