CEO Conference begins today with Brazil’s Economy Minister
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The BTG Pactual (BPAC11) CEO Conference kicks off this Tuesday, February 22. Organized by Latin America’s largest investment bank, the event takes place on February 22 and 23, featuring Brazil’s top business, political and civil society leaders.
This year, the conference’s main objective will be to debate the country’s challenges and the main trends in economics, politics, and technology for 2022.

Among the confirmed participants are President Jair Bolsonaro and pre-candidates João Doria, São Paulo state governor, former Minister of Justice and Public Safety Sérgio Moro, and former Ceará state governor Ciro Gomes.
In addition, speakers include BTG Pactual senior partner André Esteves, BTG Pactual CEO Roberto Sallouti, Economy Minister Paulo Guedes, Communications Minister Fábio Faria, Chamber of Deputies president Arthur Lira, Mercado Libre CEO Stelleo Tolda, and Pan Bank CEO Carlos Eduardo Guimarães, among others.
The CEO Conference will debate the fiscal adjustment challenges; Brazil’s reform and growth agenda; e-commerce trends for 2022; the political and economic outlook (with the presence of several presidential candidates); fintechs; infrastructure; solutions for SMEs; education in Brazil; technology trends; Brazilian unicorns; 5G, among others.
The event will be opened at 9 AM this Tuesday by Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes, who will speak about the “Brazilian Economic Outlook,” moderated by BTG Pactual Chief Economist Mansueto Almeida. The first presidential candidate to speak will be ex-Minister Sérgio Moro, at 10:30 AM, followed by São Paulo Governor João Doria, at 11:15 AM.
Minister of Infrastructure Tarcísio Freitas will speak at 2 PM, with Rumo CEO João Alberto de Abreu and CCR CEO Marco Cauduro, as well as Santos Brasil CEO Antônio Sepúlveda.
At 3 PM, Central Bank of Brazil president Roberto Campos Neto will speak, followed by BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) president Gustavo Montezano.
The event will close on Wednesday, at 5 PM, with a speech by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
The last edition of the CEO Conference featured over 20 hours of content and more than 114,000 accesses to the Macro Room and Tech Room during the 2-day event.
