Caribbean nudist cruise announced for 2025

Bare Necessities Tour & Travel, an American travel firm, has introduced a novel nudist cruise set to commence in 2025.

The 11-day trip will originate in Miami, extending through Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and St. Lucia, offering passengers an unclothed experience in these tropical landscapes.

The concept is an extension of the company’s annual “Big Nude Boat” tours, previously departing from Tampa, Florida.

According to Operations Director Ken Tiemann, the Miami starting point allows a more in-depth exploration of the Caribbean.

The company has shifted partnerships for this venture, moving from Carnival Cruise Lines to Norwegian Cruise Line, which will handle the 2025 tour on the Norwegian Pearl, accommodating up to 2,394 passengers.

Scheduled to begin on February 3, 2025, the cruise seeks to appeal to returning customers desiring a change in surroundings.

Tickets are set to be available in August, exclusively through Bare Necessities.

The company has yet to disclose prices for the new nudist cruise.

For reference, the 2024 Big Nude Boat, embarking from Tampa and touring Mexican seas, starts at US$1,200 for double cabins, plus estimated port fees of US$150.55 per person.

Bare Necessities strictly adheres to the American Association of Nudist Recreation (AANR) principles on their trips, offering guidelines to ensure a respectful and safe experience for everyone.

This includes rules around clothing, personal boundaries, behavior, and photo consent.

The cruises are designed for those who prefer a clothes-free environment, rather than encouraging inappropriate or disrespectful behavior.
