The conclusion is from the recently published October FipeZap index, a monthly survey conducted by the Institute for Economic Research Foundation in partnership with the Zap Imóveis platform.
The value is obtained from ads selling residential properties ready to move in on the platform in about 50 Brazilian cities.

In this Santa Catarina coast city, the average value of the square meter was R$11,066 (US$2,075) in October, a price that is on an upward trend and rose 3.03% compared to September, the highest in the country in the period.
In the last twelve months, the increase was 17.68% in Balneário Camboriú – in this case, the second highest appreciation in the country, only behind Vila Velha (Espírito Santo state), where the growth reached 19.77% in one year.
Regarding capital cities, the biggest jump between September and October was Vitória, also in Espírito Santo: the increase reached 3.05%.
It also had the highest appreciation in 2022 (an accumulated 18.65%) and the last 12 months (20.99%).
