Selfie Museum returns to São Paulo; see how it will look like

The city of São Paulo will gain a new attraction this Saturday (29): the Selfie Museum, a temporary exhibition that will receive the public inside Ibirapuera Shopping Mall.

Besides taking the visitor on a journey through the history of photography, the space will have 12 “Instagrammable” scenarios, which will invite visitors to take their pictures and fatten the collection of the itinerant exhibition even more.

Enthusiasts of the photography universe will still be able to see the first selfie in History or the most taken image of the genre today.

“The attraction is an initiative that brings a new interaction with culture and contemporary art.”

“The customer is invited to be part of this history, registering the moment and sharing his or her work of art.”

“The importance of this event goes beyond entertainment and the popularity of selfies; it provides an immersive experience”, believes Ricardo Portela, the shopping center’s marketing manager.

Amanda Parisi, director of Arena Experience, the company responsible for the attraction, explains that this is the first Brazil Selfie Museum.

However, this is not the first time it has opened its doors to the Brazilian public: the museum works for seasons – and the exhibition at Ibirapuera is its fourth in the country.

Before that, it has already been at Shopping West Plaza, Allianz Parque, and Shopping Taboão, where it has already received around 20,000 visitors.

The concept has also been successful in other countries.

The museum will operate every day from 1 pm to 7 pm until June 25 on the Moema floor of the mall.

Tickets are free but must be reserved through a coupon to be redeemed from April 26 at 1 pm on the Shopping Ibirapuera app (available on Google Play and Apple Store).

Just click on the icon with three dashes in the left corner of the screen, and the available coupons will appear for selection.

Once redeemed, just present it at the time of entry.

A promoter will validate the ticket for the visitor to enter the museum in order of arrival.

If the group is full, the visitor must wait for the next group to be formed.

Validated coupons, if not used within two days, cannot be reactivated – that is, a new one must be redeemed.

There is no limit to tickets per CPF; visiting the event as often as you want is possible.
