Brazilian Teams Excel in Football Transfer Market

In the latest soccer news, Brazilian clubs greatly impacted the transfer market, making over $200 million in sales.

FIFA’s January 2024 report showed 4,716 transactions worth $1.46 billion, the second-highest ever, but down 8.2% from January 2023.

European clubs were the primary investors, responsible for 77.9% of total spending. France emerged as the top spender with $290 million in investments.

Contrarily, Brazil stood out on the earning side, with Brazilian teams garnering $251.2 million from player sales, positioning Brazil at the top of the earnings ranking.

In comparison, Portuguese teams secured the second place, receiving $132.2 million from transfers. Within the confederations, UEFA led the earnings with $916.1 million.
