Nevertheless, only 7% of Brazilian programs made it into the top 50 worldwide, nearly half the percentage of Mexico’s entries.
The 2024 QS rankings evaluated 309 programs across 28 Brazilian universities, providing a detailed look at the nation’s academic landscape.
Of these programs, 20% improved in ranking, 21% saw a decline, and 46% remained stable, demonstrating notable consistency. This year also saw 39 programs ranked for the first time.
In these fields, 23 programs improved their rankings, 18 decreased, and five maintained their positions.
