80 million-year-old eggs are discovered in Brazil

Paleontologist Paulo Macedo, from the company Geopac Consultoria Ambiental, announced the discovery of 80 million-year-old egg fossils, possibly from dinosaurs.

During highway work, the discovery occurred in October 2022 in Monte Alegre de Minas, 601 kilometers from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.

The find, however, circulated again on social networks after a video went viral.

In an interview with the newspaper O Estado de Minas, Macedo said the rare and well-preserved nest was under sedimentary rocks called sandstones.
