Nicaraguan Supreme Court judge resigns after being imprisoned by Ortega

On Tuesday, October 25, the Nicaraguan Parliament accepted the resignation from the Supreme Court of Justice of Judge Ileana Perez Lopez, who resigned last week.

The now-former judge leaves her post after being imprisoned and then released a few days ago.

Pérez López thus becomes the fourth magistrate of the highest court to resign from her post since the massive street protests in the Central American country against Daniel Ortega . . .
