Indians gathered at encampments in Brasilia have recorded a video message to President Jair Bolsonaro.
Calling himself a “spokesperson for the caciques”, the indigenous threatens to “shed blood” and “give our lives” to release cacique Cererê, arrested last Monday (Dec. 12) by order of Alexandre de Moraes.
“In these 42 days we have made our demonstration in a peaceful way. Until now, but unfortunately, these people who think they own the country have been carrying out these atrocities. If you don’t order the release of our chief, blood will be spilled”, he said.

The indigenous man asks Bolsonaro to order the release of Chief Cererê on Wednesday.
Chief Cererê Xavante, one of the leaders of the camps that have been taking place since Lula da Silva was declared elected by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), was arrested on Monday by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The indigenous man is accused of leading what the minister considers “anti-democratic protests” and “coup plotters”.
After his arrest, a group of demonstrators went in front of the Federal Police headquarters, and the demonstrators allegedly perpetrated violent acts.
Videos and images, however, suggest the presence of false flag terrorists, a group specialized in urban violence.
