Brazilian Spring: are false flag agents responsible for vandalism in Brasilia to discredit protesters?

In posts on social networks, supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL, right) said that the acts of vandalism in Brasilia on Monday night, Dec. 12, would have been executed by planted troublemakers, false flag “infiltrators”, in the protests.

Following the arrest of Cacique Cererê Xavante on the orders of Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Tribunal (STF), protesters camped out in the federal capital held a protest rally in which eight cars and five buses were set on fire, according to the Federal District Fire Department.

(Planted false flag agents pretending to be Bolsonarists? Arsonists scream “get out Bolsonaro”, “fascist”, “son of a b***” while they set a bus on fire during riots this Monday night in Brasilia.)

However, these acts were allegedly carried out by false flag infiltrators, leading one to believe that it was an action by supporters of the president, according to several posts on social networks.

Among the posts are those of journalist Paulo Figueiredo, who questioned the authorship of the vandalism acts attributed by the press to “Bolsonarists”.

“No non-peaceful demonstration has occurred in all this time,” Figueiredo noted.

(Patriotic protesters knocking the camera out of other patriotic protesters’ hands? One may doubt it.)

“Everyone on the right has always emphasized the need for peaceful demonstrations. Now, suddenly, this happens, with all this evidence of undercover agents? Hard to fall for that.”

In another post, Figueiredo also expressed distrust.

“I’m still not convinced that Indians are causing the ongoing chaos, much less ‘patriots,'” he said.

“Every indication points to infiltration. False flag, just like in the US. That needs to be established.”

False flag operations have become a normal tool for making opposing groups look bad worldwide.
